It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Teagan Joshua Martin Hernandez, who left this life too soon on February 9, 2026, at the tender age of 14. Born on November 30, 2011, in Odessa, Texas, Teagan brought light and laughter to everyone he encountered.

His presence was a joyful whirlwind; he was a character and a jokester who dedicated his days to bringing out laughter from those around him. Teagan had an amazing enthusiasm for life, from his love for sports, passion for video games, his blaring music, and the way he was always ready to dance the night away. Teagan could always light up a room with his vibrant personality. He expressed his unique style through his flashy clothing choices, bright shoes, or cowboy boot, and perfectly starched jeans, he was always dressed his best. Teagan was not only outgoing; he was also incredibly caring and smart, actively contributing to his school's Robotics Team, and teaching himself how to cook, so he could whip up his favorite "steak and eggs".

Family was everything to Teagan, and he wore his affection for them like a badge of honor. He had an unwavering bond with his siblings, a fierce love for his mother, and a heart that welcomed all with open arms. There was a special tenderness reserved for his niece, Parker Mae, whom he lovingly referred to as his Gummy Bear. Teagan's love knew no bounds; he would have unhesitatingly laid down his life for any of them.

Amongst his shining attributes was a faith that grounded him. Teagan carried a heart of gold illuminated by his faith. He had a captivating smile, enchanting hazel eyes, and a smirk that could easily disarm even the most stoic of hearts.

Teagan leaves behind his parents, Amber and Andy Galindo of Wink, TX; father Joshua Hernandez; his adoring grandparents, Johnny and Karla Fuentes of Iraan, TX; Tracey and Shaun Dirden of San Angelo, TX; Mario and Loriza Hernandez of San Angelo, TX; and Melissa Galindo of Wink, TX; his uncles, Kuaid Fuentes; Lendall Hernandez both of San Angelo, TX; and Nano Galindo of Wink, TX; his loving siblings, AubreighLynn Gallegos, Brynleigh Gallegos, Ezekiel Galindo, Case Galindo, Alayla Galindo all of Wink, TX, and Jaylon Hernandez of San Angelo, TX; along with his loved niece, Parker Mae and cousin Kelena Fuentes.

Teagan is preceded death by his grandfather, Eddie Galindo, aunts, Kaley Bowerman and Brianna Lucas, and cousin, Judah Bowerman-each of whom will welcome him into the eternal embrace he so richly deserves.

Though his time with us was far too brief, Teagan carried a legacy enriched by the laughter he gifted others, the joy he embraced, and the love he gave.

Visitation will begin Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 4:00pm - 8:00pm, visitation will continue Friday, February 13, 2026, from 10:00am-7:00pm, followed by a Rosary from 7:00pm-9:00pm at The Kermit Funeral Home Chapel. Teagan's life will be celebrated with a funeral service at the Wink High School New Gymnasium at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 14, 2026, Officiated by Reverend Blanca Polanco. He will then be laid to rest at the Kermit Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Avery Berzoza, Mason Becker, David Dobson, Jadrian Vela, Jarren Vela, Nano Galindo, and Kuaid Fuentes. Honorary Pallbearers will include Cody Whitmire, Javen Vela, and Jeremiah Vela. Arrangements are under the personal care of Kermit Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
