November 26, 1950 — December 31, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sherrie Ann Carter, who departed this world peacefully on December 31, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on November 26, 1950, in Miami, Florida, Sherrie moved to Kermit, Texas, where she spent the majority of her life surrounded by loved ones and cherished memories.

Sherrie was a spirited homemaker whose passion for caring extended beyond her own home. For many years, she dedicated herself to in-home care, bringing comfort and companionship to those in need. Her selflessness and kindness will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.

On April 14, 1978, Sherrie married the love of her life, Harold Carter, and together they built a beautiful life filled with laughter and love, over their remarkable 47 years of marriage. Their bond was a testament to true partnership and unwavering support.

Sherrie had a particular fondness for animals, especially her beloved dogs, who filled her life with joy and companionship.

Sherrie is survived by her devoted husband, Harold Carter of Kermit, TX., her cherished niece, Corinne Burch and husband Jory of Kermit, TX., and nephew, Corky McLean and wife Tawana of Waxahachie, TX.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Garnett "Beckelheimer" Whiddon.
