Obituary

Roy Adrian Olivas

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roy Adrian Olivas, born on December 9, 1998, in Eastland, Texas. Roy left us far too soon on November 23, 2025, at the age of 26, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Roy was a proud graduate of Kermit High School, Class of 2017, and found fulfillment in his career as a pipeline technician with Energy Transfer. He cherished his work and approached everything he did with unwavering dedication. While he was a homebody at heart, Roy found joy in spending time on the golf course with his high school buddies. And held a special place in his heart for his family. His laughter, kindness, and compassion touched the lives of so many.

Roy is survived by his loving mother, Amy
McNew, and step-father, Larry of Kermit, TX., as well as his father, Roque Olivas of Kermit, TX., his grandparents, Mario and Ofelia Hernandez, of Eastland, TX., Gregoria Olivas of Kermit, TX., and Tim and Linda Curtis of Kermit, TX., along with his siblings-brothers Jesse Soltero, Jordan McNew, and Chris Gallardo, and sisters Adriana Olivas and McKenzie McNew all of Kermit, TX.,-will forever carry his spirit. He is also remembered fondly by his uncle, Ranulfo Olivas and wife Abilia, aunts, Jessica Amaro and husband Armando and their children Izabella, Yaritza, Joaquin, and Santiago, Mary Campos and husband Jose, Beronica McKellips and husband John, and Ana Hernandez all of Kermit, TX., along with his beloved nephew, Grayson Tate, and numerous cousins and friends.

Roy now joins those who have gone before him, including his late grandfather, Alvaro Olivas, great-grandparents Felipe and Guadalupe Bonilla, and Andres and Magdalana Hernandez, as well as his uncle's Maurillo Olvias, Albertico Olivas, Alvaro Olivas, and Andres Hernandez Jr.

As we gather to honor Roy, we will cherish the memories, laughter, and love he brought into our lives. In our hearts, he will remain forever loved and remembered.
