It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Wayne Hyde, affectionately known as Ronnie, who departed this life peacefully on July 16, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on April 25, 1943, in Wagner, South Dakota, Ronnie built a life of dedication and service.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy, Ronnie served honorably from 1964 -1979. His military service instilled in him a sense of pride and duty that defined much of his life. Ronnie was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the American Legion, where he cherished the friendships of his fellow veterans.

Throughout his life, Ronnie embraced the simple pleasures of life. He found joy in the moments spent hunting and fishing, and he expressed his creativity through gardening and painting cars.

Ronnie is survived by his sister Shelby Marshall of Sweetwater, TX., sister-in-law: Joyce Hyde of Kermit, TX., along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Vern and Elsie (Broderson) Hyde, and his 4 brothers, Roger Hyde, Neil Hyde, Courtney Hyde, and Vern Hyde Jr.
