With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Roberto "Beto" Rios, who departed this life on March 3, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on July 20, 1948, in Barstow, Texas, Beto lived a full and vibrant life in Kermit, Texas, where he was known for his green thumb, and love for family.
Beto spent many years as a roughneck in the oil and gas industry, dedicating himself to his work with the same passion he brought to everything else in life. He was a proud father, and adored his grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life, always brightening his days with their laughter and love.
An avid gardener, Beto was well-known in the community for his impressive tomatoes and squash. His love for gardening was matched only by his love for playing pool, where friends would gather often to share good times and create lasting memories. Those who knew him will remember his generosity, his playful spirit, and his unwavering devotion to family.
Beto was married to Connie for 53 wonderful years until her passing in February 2019. The bond they shared is a testament to true love, and he deeply cherished the memories of their life together.
He leaves behind his children Robert Luna of Odessa, TX., Adam Campos of Lubbock, TX., Israel Rios and wife Martha of Kermit, TX., Robert Rios and wife Jennifer of Odessa, TX., and Lorena Rios and husband Jose of Odessa, TX. Along with 18 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Connie Rios, parents Marcos and Josefa Rios, and his daughter Isabel Rios.
Visitation will take place at Kermit Funeral Home on Thursday, March 5, 2026, starting at 10:00AM, followed by a Rosary from 7:00PM-9:00PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the Kermit Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 2:00PM with Deacon Ramon Garcia officiating. He will then be laid to rest at the Kermit Cemetery.
