Robert Lee Snell
It is with great sadness and honor that we cherish the memory of Robert Lee “Bobby” Snell who passed away February 12, 2025 at his home in Sealy, Texas.
Bobby was born March 24,1954 to Phil and June Snell at Fort Rucker, Alabama. Like his Dad Phil, Bobby enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served our country during the Vietnam war. After returning from the military, Bobby met the love of his life Gale Tarver and they married in 1977. Bobby and Gale were blessed with two children, Courtney Carloline and Stephen Michael.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife Gale, daughter Courtney Powers (Jason), and beloved grandson Colton Powers. Other survivors include numerous brothers and sisters, in-laws, other family members, and many friends.
Bobby is predeceased by his parents Phil and June Snell, as well as multiple siblings. Sadly, Bobby’s son Stephen Snell passed away a few short months after Bobby’s passing.
Bobby was employed with Ebco General Contractors as a Superintendent and he took great pride in the various projects he worked on. He truly loved his job and especially his co-workers who were like family to him.
In addition to the love of his job, he also cherished his time off because he was able to spend treasured time with his grandson Colton, taking him to baseball games and tournaments. Bobby was an avid golfer and one of the highlights of his life was teaching Colton to play golf. Bobby was a die-hard Aggie fan and took Colton to many Aggie football games.
One of Bobby’s favorite traditions was riding in the annual Salt Grass Trail Ride with his daughter Courtney. Occasionally his son Stephen and grandson Colton joined them on the trail ride. Bobby was the salt of the earth, had the best sensor of humor, and was so fun-loving. He loved music and dancing and was an all around “good guy.” He will be fondly remembered and missed by his family and many friends. Bobby is with his Lord and Savior, but he will never be forgotten.
