IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patsy O
Davis
January 11, 1943 – February 10, 2026
Patsy O. Davis, age 83, of Kermit, Tx passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, in Fort Stockton, Tx.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 18th, 2026, at the Kermit Funeral Home. With ED Simmons officiating. Arrangements are by Eternity Funeral Home of Fort Stockton & Kermit Funeral Home of Kermit.
Patsy O. Davis was born Jan. 11, 1943, in Rosston, Arkansas, to Tollie & Glen Taylor. A true wildfire full of life, stepped into eternity shortly after celebrating her 83rd birthday on January 11th. Anyone who knew Patsy knew she was unforgettable & funny as all get out, fiercely loving, and never one to dim her light for anyone.
Patsy loved her children and grandchildren with her whole heart, and her pride in them showed in everything she did. She also had a lifelong love for shopping - if she liked something, she didn't just buy it once, she bought it in every color. That was Patsy: bold, unapologetic, and full of joy.
She had a gift that few people possessed. She could cuss you out and give you a compliment in the same sentence, and somehow you walked away laughing and feeling loved. She spent her life caring for others as a Medication Aide at Leisure Lodge/ Kermit Nursing Home for over 24 yrs. She also worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Home Health Care. A role that perfectly matched who she was at her core: A caregiver who put others first.
Patsy loved deeply, laughed loudly, & was an excellent cook. She could cook anything from scratch & it was delicious. Her family will forever miss her famous homemade pineapple ice cream, a sweet tradition that will always remind them of her warmth and generosity.
She leaves behind a family who adored her, a lifetime of memories, and a legacy of love, strength, and laughter that will never fade. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in every shared story, every burst of laughter, and every scoop of homemade ice cream.
She is preceded in death by her parents Tollie & Glen Taylor, 3 brothers Horace, Deward (DT) & Gary Taylor.
Patsy is survived by her oldest daughter Diane & her husband Danny Harris. Youngest daughter Denna & her husband Steve Ditto all of Kermit, Texas. Sister-in-law Cindy Taylor of Rosston, Arkansas, 6 grandchildren: Jason, Brian & Nathan Harris. Chandra, Joshua Durham & Ashley Pineda. 13 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, and many nieces & nephews.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Focus Care Nursing Home / Memory Care Unit & staff, Dr. Subodh K. Mallik, Ed Simmons, Mary’s Flowers & the many thoughtful friends in our community. Thank You.
