Obituary

Obituary for Lourdes Juarez It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lourdes Juarez, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, who left this world on March 18, 2026, at the age of 69. Lourdes was born on July 12, 1956, in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, and spent her life spreading joy and love to those around her.

Lourdes married the love of her life, Israel, in Ojinaga, Mexico April 1975. Together, they shared a wonderful 50 years of marriage until Israel’s passing in September 2025. After living in Kermit for over 20 years, they moved to Presidio to make cherished memories together, continuing their love story until the end.

Lourdes dedicated over 40 years of her life to her work as a cook, where she poured her passion into every meal she prepared, and was known by many as Lulu or Lolis. Her culinary skills and warm smile will be missed by those who had the pleasure of enjoying her cooking. More than her profession, Lourdes was an artist at heart; she loved sewing, dancing, and singing, always bringing happiness and laughter wherever she went.

Above all, Lourdes cherished her family. She adored spoiling her grandchildren and nephews, showering them with love and affection. She enjoyed family gatherings, particularly barbecues, where she would gather everyone around, filling both their hearts and stomachs.

Lourdes is survived by her beloved daughter, Janeth Olmos of Midland, TX., brothers, Leopoldo Arreola Jr. of Odessa, TX., and Edmundo Arreola of Odessa, TX., sisters, Sulema Alvarado and husband Ricardo of Ojinaga, MX., and Delfina Chacon and husband Leopoldo of Kermit, TX., along with her grandchildren, Esmeralda, Adaly, Andy, Arezly, and Aretzy, all of whom will forever carry her spirit in their hearts.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Israel Juarez, parents, Leopoldo and Carlotta Arreola, sister, Vela Arreola, and brother Hermino Arreola.

Lourdes Juarez will be deeply missed, but her joyful spirit will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00AM-7:00PM, Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Kermit Funeral Home with a rosary following from 7:00PM-9:00PM. A Mass will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the St. Joseph / St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Victorino Lorescar Officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Kermit Cemetery. Pallbearers will include, Jose Viscaino Jr., Edmundo Arreola Jr., Gery Arreola, Alan Arreola, Jacob Ledesme, Edgar Arreola, Kenneth Arreola, and Ricardo Alvarado Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Edmundo Arreola, and Andy Arreola. Arrangements are under the personal care of Kermit Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Condolences to the family can be made at www.kermitfuneralhome.com
