Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Kevin Lynn Hoff, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who entered his eternal rest on July 31, 2026, in his hometown of Kermit, Texas. Born on September 18, 1963, Kevin was a vibrant soul who shared his love for life through music and family.

Known for his passion for music, Kevin played both the guitar and drums, finding joy in every strum and beat. He dedicated many years to the Southern Comfort Band alongside friends Owen Taylor, and Johnny Wagner, cherishing every opportunity to share his musical gifts with others.

Above all, Kevin was devoted to his family. He was a hard-working man and tirelessly provided for them as an electrician in the oil field for many years. His commitment was evident not only in his work but also in his daily life. A devout Christian, he began each day with scripture, drawing strength and inspiration from his faith. Kevin was the type of man who would drop everything to lend a hand to a friend in need, demonstrating his fierce loyalty and love for his family. He also adored his dogs - Brutis, Trixy, Willie, and little dog - he looked forward to getting home to them every day.

Kevin leaves behind his son Keith Hoff and wife Kiara Powers of Kermit, TX., daughter, Reaganne Hoff of Brownwood, TX., sister, Susan Hammond and husband Steven of Kermit, TX., along with his grandchildren, Dawson, Oliver, KylerRyLee, and Phaidon.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred "Bill" and Marian "Nowak" Hoff, and his brother, Steve Hoff.

In his passing, Kevin leaves behind a legacy of love, music, and generosity. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him

Visitation will be held from 9:00AM-8:00PM, Wednesday, August 5, 2026, and Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Kermit Funeral Home. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 10:00AM, Friday, August 8, 2026, at the Kermit Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Fosdick officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Kermit Cemetery. Arrangements are under the personal care of Kermit Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
