It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Karen D. Chavez, who left this life on November 23, 2025. Born on September 28, 1989, in El Centro, California, Karen's vibrant spirit touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a dedicated manager at McDonald's in Midland, Texas, where her energy and enthusiasm for life left a lasting impression on both her colleagues and customers alike.

Karen was not just a hard worker; she had a love for life and radiated joy. An avid fan of music and social media, she brought laughter and life to any gathering with her loud, captivating voice and infectious laughter. Her love for creating TikTok videos showcased her creative spirit and her desire to connect with others.

She is survived by her loving family, including her father, Jesus Chavez Calexico, CA; her brother, Felipe Chavez and wife Graciela of Brawley, CA.; her brother-in-law, Javier Corrado; and her cherished niece and nephews Monserrath Corrado and husband July, Soemon Corrado and wife Maritza and Darian Corrado all of Wink, TX. All will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Karen is preceded in death by her mother, Raquel Chavez, and sister Johanna Corrado.

In this time of sorrow, let us remember Karen for the joy she brought into our lives, her love for music and creativity, and the countless memories we share. May her spirit continue to shine brightly in our hearts.

Visitation will be held from 10:00AM-6:00PM, Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Kermit Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life to Follow at 6:00PM with Pastor Luis Altamirano officiating.
