Joanne Thorp, age 76, of Odessa, TX., left this life peacefully on November 17, 2025. Born on May 7, 1949, to Robert and Iva Davis in Odessa, Texas, Joanne touched the lives of many with her honesty, generosity, and adventurous spirit.

Joanne had a gift for speaking her mind, never afraid to expressing her thoughts. Her straightforwardness was balanced by her generous spirt, as she would offer help to anyone in need. Above all, her greatest joy came from her travels; with her daughter Sonii by her side, they were able to travel through 34 states, steadily working their way through Joanne's "bucket list." Although just one destination remains, their shared memories will last a lifetime. Joanne always had a good sense of humor and was not one to shy away from a good laugh, even with the playful banter about her "favorite child", a role attributed to the known but anonymous "Jonny"

Joanne is survived by her son, Jonny Thorp, daughter, Sonii Gonzalez, nine grandchildren, Michael, Jacob, Nathan, Danielle, Austin, Dakota, Danny, Tiffany, and Christa, nine great grandchildren, along with Sandra, Gabby, Missy and Annettte, were loved by her dearly and held a special place in her heart.

Joanne is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Thorp, son, Kenneth Thorp, parents, Robert and Iva Davis, brothers, Gene Davis, Dean Davis, and Billy Davis, and son-in-law, Gabriel Gonzales.

Family and Friends will gather to celebrate Joanne's life at 10:00AM, Friday, November 28, 2025 with a graveside service at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa, TX., with Pastor Clydel Chapman Officiating.
