JoAnn Lee

April 19, 1939 — June 28, 2025

JoAnn Noble Lee, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025, in Kermit, Texas, surrounded by love. Born on April 19, 1939, in Abilene, Texas, JoAnn lived a life full of heart, grit, and humor, bringing joy to all who knew her.

JoAnn had an unwavering love for animals-especially her dogs, who were her faithful companions and constant source of happiness. She found peace and purpose outdoors, whether she was mowing the lawn, pulling weeds, or tending to her yard-tasks that gave her pride and kept her connected to the world around her.

With a vibrant spirit, quick wit, and unfiltered honesty that could make you laugh or pause to think, JoAnn left an impression wherever she went. She was strong-willed and fiercely independent, qualities that inspired those around her and made her one of a kind.

JoAnn was proud of her hardworking roots. She fondly remembered her time as a waitress and newspaper delivery woman-roles that not only gave her purpose but also allowed her to build deep connections within a community she refused to ever leave. She had a way of making people feel seen whether through a quick chat or a warm smile.

She leaves behind a family who adored her and will carry her memory forward with love. JoAnn is survived by her son, Jerry Lee, and her daughter, Becky Jackson, and her husband, Bryant. She was "Nana" to five grandchildren: Conner DeAnn Lee; Kasie Carter and her husband, Jeremy; Shannon Taylor and her husband, Bradley; Lyndsi Carter and her husband, Michael; and Layne Jackson and his wife, Bryce. Her love and legacy continue through her great-grandchildren: Olivia Lackie, Emma Wilson, Lorelei Carter, Gavin Taylor, and Kaitlin Taylor.

Though JoAnn has left this world, her strength and sass live on in the stories we share and the values she passed down. She is reunited in spirit with her parents, her beloved daughter Annie Lee, and her sons, Michael Lee and Ronnie Lee, who now welcome her home. She will be missed forever and loved always.

Services to celebrate JoAnn's life will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are under the personal care of Kermit Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Condolences can be made at www.kermitfuneralhome.com
