Jeanette Doran

December 15, 1945 — May 21, 2025

Jeanette Kay Glosser Doran, born on December 15, 1945, to Harvey Woodrow Glosser Sr. and Winnifred Elena Wolfe in Evansville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on May 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Jeanette grew up in Salem, Illinois, and graduated from high school in 1964. Shortly after, she moved with her family to Rankin, Texas, where she met her husband and the father of her children, Jim Doran. Together, they shared 27 wonderful years and welcomed two sons, Casey and Cody. As a family, they embraced life on the move, working across various ranches throughout Texas, from Corpus Christi to Monahans. In 1974, they settled in Monahans, where they raised their boys and created countless cherished memories.

A dedicated professional, Jeanette worked for Well Testing, Southwest Royalties, and Oil States in Monahans before her retirement. She was a passionate animal lover, with a special affinity for horses. Active in the Ward County Roping and Riding Club and AQHA, she enjoyed riding and dancing, often found at the local dance halls with friends.

Jeanette's spirited and stubborn nature endeared her to those around her. Known for her warmth, she often gave the tightest hugs but if you gave her a good squeeze she would without a doubt hit you. She was an adoring grandmother to Tawny, Heston, and Mason, providing them with endless love and care. A staple meal at her home was always macaroni and cheese with chocolate milk, which delighted her grandchildren.

Creativity flowed through Jeanette's fingers; she crafted beautiful costumes, clothes, belts, Concho speed beads, and her famous "Time Out Dolls." Never seen leaving the house without her hair done and boots on, she embraced life with a youthful spirit.

An exceptional baker, Jeanette loved to put her own twist on recipes, especially her celebrated sour cream brownies and fluffy rolls, which she continued to make until her illness. Known for her generosity, she always sent friends and family home with delicious meals or treasures she discovered at local garage sales, proudly sharing her love of a good bargain.

Jeanette is survived by her two sons, Casey Doran and wife Annabelle of Weatherford, TX, and Cody Doran and wife Shawna Doran of Kermit, TX. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Tawny Rodriguez and husband Chris Rodriguez; grandsons, Heston Doran and Mason Doran; and great-grandson, Henry James Rodriguez. Jeanette is further survived by her beloved sisters, Rebecca Walden of Weatherford and Brenda Hallford and husband Mike of Mineral Wells, along with brothers Skip Glosser and Ross Glosser, both of Rankin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jeanette Kay Glosser Doran lived life to the fullest, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 11:00AM, Monday, May 26, 2025 at The Kermit Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the personal care of Kermit Funeral Home. Condolences can be made at www.kermitfuneralhome.com
