Dannie P. Maberry
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dannie Parker Maberry who entered his heavenly rest on November 21, 2025. Born on February 10, 1947, in Rotan, Texas, Dannie lived a life rich in love, laughter, and the joys of the great outdoors. He grew up in Hamlin, where he graduated from Hamlin High School in 1965 before earning his associate's degree from Cisco Junior College in 1967.
Dannie's career began in Jal, New Mexico, with El Paso Natural Gas, where he dedicated 32 years of his life before retiring in 2001. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, cherished by his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathy, on February 16, 2011, and by his parents, Gracie and JW Bynum Maberry, as well as his brothers, Tony and Gary.
Dannie is survived by his son, Shannon Maberry, daughter, Shawnna Regain, three grandchildren, Haley Yarbrough and her husband, Dustin, Camille Regain, and Parker Regain. Along with his two precious great-grandchildren, Kollynns and Kansas Yarborough.
In his younger years, Dannie found great joy in the outdoors, often engaging in hunting, fishing, and golf-activities he loved sharing with his son, Shannon.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Jal Clinic, as well as Jesse Salinas and Jasmine Little, for their unwavering care and support during this time.
A visitation will be held at Kermit Funeral Home on November 24, 2025, from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM. A funeral service will take place Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM (MT) at the First United Methodist Church in Jal, NM. Dannie will be laid to rest during a graveside service at Hamlin Memorial Cemetery on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Arrangements are under the personal care of Kermit Funeral Home.
