With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Christopher Rene Garcia Jr., affectionately known by many as "Dudee," passed away on June 18, 2026, in Odessa, Texas. Born on November 5, 2007, in Odessa, Christopher brought light and joy to all who knew him with a beautiful smile that genuinely reflected his happy spirit. He was known for his playful nature, always ready to share a trick or a laugh with his family.

Christopher's life was marked by his deep bond with his beloved grandmother, Sandy Jones. Their connection was a constant source of comfort and happiness, as they were always by each other's side. This special relationship was at the heart of what he cherished most in life.

A graduate of Kermit High School in May of 2026, Christopher embraced the world around him with enthusiasm and a bright spirit. He loved music and vibrant colors, enjoyed watching movies, especially superhero films featuring his favorite, the Hulk, along with his favorite show Barney & Friends which brought smiles that mirrored his own kindness and warmth. He also found joy in road trips filled with adventure.

Christopher is survived by his loving great-grandparents Sandy and Charlie Jones of Kermit, TX., father, Chris Garcia and wife Stacy of Kermit, TX., mother, Nichole Garcia of Kermit, TX., grandparents, Mark and Aloha Young of Greely, CO., Pete Garcia of Kermit, TX., and Pam Young of Kermit, TX., great-grandmother, Julian Donato of Kermit, TX., brothers, Nathan Garcia of Kermit, TX., and Julian Garcia of San Antonio, TX., sister, Crystal Garcia of Kermit, TX., aunts, Courtney Valenzuela and husband Fernando, Michelle Moore and husband Freddie, Deborah White and husband Paul, Kim Childs and husband Kris, Jerica Houtchens and husband Andrew, Emily Young, Madison Young, and Sally Garcia, uncles, Jacob Garcia and wife Lupe, and Cody Moore and wife Hannah; along with his cousins Ethan, Isaac, Landon, Rylee, Jalen, Kobe, Abigail, Alyssa, Evan, Rodger, Raelynn, and Caiden.

Christopher was preceded in death by, his grandmother Diane Garcia, uncle Daniel Garcia, great-grandmother Noami Donato, great-great-grandmother Alice Webster, and his very special friend and nurse, Debra Landreth.

Christopher Rene Garcia Jr.'s radiant spirit and the love he shared with his family and friends will forever be remembered. He brought light and laughter to the lives of those around him, and his presence will be deeply missed but lovingly honored.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 9:00AM - 8:00PM, at the Kermit Funeral Home. A Celebration of his life will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Kermit Funeral Home Chapel with Jacob Garcia officiating.
